The English Kindergarten in Joensuu
Joensuu's English Kindergarten was founded in 1976, so we have a long tradition of providing child care. Since 1988 the Kindergarten has been in an ideal location in Hasanniemi, about 2 km from the center. The big yellow wooden house surrounded by a large yard in a natural state provides a great environment for the children.
The English Kindergaten is a private kindergarten, run by a Kindergaten Association (parents are automatically members of the Association when their child starts in the Kindergarten), and the City of Joensuu day care office supervises the activities.
The Kindergarten provides day care places for 25-27 children, aged 3-6 years, most of whom are in full-time day care. Part-time places (morning or afternoon) are also available.
